Getting dog hair out of carpet, the way we do it
A vacuum alone won’t do it. A rubber brush, a damp glove and the right order of steps will.

Dog hair weaves itself into automotive carpet. Here is the method we use in the detail center, and you can do most of it at home.
Loosen it first
Drag a rubber brush or a damp rubber glove across the carpet in one direction. The hair rolls into clumps you can pick up by hand.
Then vacuum, slowly
Go over each area twice, the second time against the direction of the first pass. Slow passes pull more than fast ones.
Protect what you cleaned
A washable seat cover in the back is cheaper than a monthly detail. If you bring the car in, pet hair removal starts at $45.
