Ceramic coating or wax: what lasts in the Tucson sun
Wax lasts a few weeks in an Arizona summer. A coating lasts years, if the paint underneath is corrected first.

Most people ask about coatings in June, when the wax they put on in May is already gone. Here is how the two compare in this climate.
Why wax disappears here
Carnauba softens at the temperatures a dark hood reaches by noon in July. On a car parked outside in Tucson, a coat of wax gives you three to six weeks.
What a coating does differently
A ceramic coating bonds to the clear coat and hardens. It blocks UV, resists bird droppings and sprinkler minerals, and lets dust rinse off with plain water.
Correct first, then coat
A coating locks in whatever is underneath, swirls included. That is why every coating we sell starts with a paint depth reading and at least a one-step correction.
